an introduction to Wayne Clarke, the minister of our church

Wayne has been minister of Dovedale Baptist Church since 1994.

He was born in Warwickshire and studied at Keele University in Staffordshire.

He trained for Baptist ministry at Regent's Park College in Oxford and served as a minister in Hartlepool.

Wayne is married to Val. They have two children: Josh and Bethan.

Wayne is Religious Affairs Producer at BBC Radio Merseyside. 

He presents and produces the Sunday morning programme "Daybreak" which is on air from 6.00 to 8.30am British time.

In the 2006 Andrew Cross Awards, 
Wayne was awarded the prestigious title of "Religious Broadcaster of the Year" 

Wayne is also Baptist chaplain to Liverpool University.
